Scientists just estimated that Earth could contain as many as 1 trillion species, an incredible 99.999 percent of which are currently undiscovered. … it’s a good bet that a whole lot of those mystery creatures are hiding out at the bottom of the ocean, which is just one of the reasons why this live video feed is so awesome.
Although most of the biodiversity of species will be in microorganisms, there are still plenty of large animals on earth that no human has ever seen. This may be hard to believe, until you start looking.
We like to say we know less about the ocean here on Earth than we do about the surface of Mars, because while we have a vague idea of its overall structure, we’ve only properly seen less than 0.05 percent of it.
Imagine we discover an alien planet that’s teeming with life, and we’ve only explored an area the size of Tasmania – that’s what we’re dealing with when it comes to the ocean. And now, thanks to this awesome deep-sea diver, we’re getting a glimpse at what’s really down there.
Roman Fedortsov is a deep-sea fisherman based in the port city of Murmansk in Russia, which looks out over the Barents Sea – a relatively shallow sea that opens into the Arctic Ocean.
Fishing throughout the coastal Arctic ocean region, all the way to the coast of Morocco, Fedortsov has been sharing images of the deep-sea creatures that wander into his nets.
This makes me want to get a deep sea submarine and go exploring. Why couldn’t there be a species more intelligent than humans living under the ocean? There are, after all, plenty of UFO sightings involving ships that appear out of the ocean.
It is a known fact UFOs are often seen entering and leaving water. Additionally, their craft have features similar to various “Waverider-stingray-cetacean-forms. Marine mammals in the cetacean family include whales, dolphins, and porpoises. Although whales spend all their time in the oceans, they are mammals just like us. This means that they are warm blooded, give birth to live young, nurse their young, and must come to the surface to breathe air through their lungs. What if some types of humanoids developed under water or ice and created some sort of intelligent civilization and technology? Many UFOs although fast and maneuverable do not seem to be spaceships with the ability to travel vast distances to other planets.
It is fun to speculate that the craft that crashed at Roswell wasn’t aliens, but intelligent Earthly undersea creatures coming to investigate the Roswell Army Airforce base, which was, at the time, the only place in the world with a human-made atomic bomb. Perhaps they don’t leave the ocean much, just as we don’t visit the ocean much. Are “aliens” or a species of advanced intelligent underwater earthlings hiding under the sea?
