Satellite images show a silver, circular object on what appears to be a runway on Mesa Road, near the space agency’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).
According to Nasa, the labs in California, US are where America’s first Earth-orbiting science satellite was made.
It was home to the first successful interplanetary spacecraft and is the headquarters for upcoming robotic missions to study planets, solar systems and asteroids.
A writes on Nasa’s website: “In addition to its missions, JPL developed and manages NASA’s Deep Space Network, a worldwide system of antennas that communicates with interplanetary spacecraft.”
