A large unusual unexplained phenomenon was captured on video a few days ago in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The light seems to come up from the ground when it first appears. What do you make of this?
Leigh Stevens spotted the mysterious light while filming a lightning storm in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, on Monday, December 3.
It appears to show a green light burst into the sky, before forming a crescent and then hanging in the air.
The Western Australian reported that the light was seen by other residents and that it stayed put for at least 30 minutes.
The glow formed a crescent then hung in the sky
Neil Bennett of the Bureau of Meteorology in the country, told newspaper the bureau had never seen anything like the aurora-like light.
“We don’t think it (the green light) is part of the thunderstorm,” he said.
“We think it’s a reflection of something on the ground, rather than coming from the clouds.”
It looks like someone is shining a spotlight at the clouds. It’s still an interesting effect and it definitely gets a strange news award.
