You don’t see this often: A dashcam video captured a street light being destroyed by a lightning bolt in Australia yesterday.
An Australian driver’s dashboard camera captured the moment a bolt of lightning struck a streetlight a short distance in front of him.
The video, recorded Thursday on a road in Marsden Park, New South Wales, shows traffic moving slowly in stormy weather when a bolt of lightning strikes a nearby street lamp.
The lightning causes the lamp’s bulb to explode, raining debris down on the road below.
The footage was captured amid widespread lightning storms in New South Wales.
