The original title with a misspelling of asymmetric as “assymetric” was a regretful unintentional typo. *Sigh*
These pants are the strangest thing I’ve seen all day. As with music, every new generation seems to try to do something with jeans to vex the previous generation. Joining the long pants rebellion of purposely ripped jeans, jeans with pockets hanging out, inside-out jeans, purposely worn and faded jeans, high waters, bell bottoms, jeans that are falling off, absurdly tight painted on jeans and others from the past is a potential new 2019 winning rebel design: the asymmetrical jeans.
A Ukrainian fashion designer’s latest jeans are going viral not for their $377 price tag but for their bizarre asymmetrical design.
“I was told the idea was too crazy and that nobody needs jeans like this, so I gave up on the idea for a couple of seasons, but in the end I decided to go for it,” the designer told Dazed. “It’s good to get people talking, and they’re definitely going to make people turn their heads as you walk by!”

The newest development in its versatility is of the asymmetrical kind. Ksenia Schnaider, a RTW label by a Kiev-based fashion designer Ksenia Marchenko and Moscow-based graphic designer Anton Schnaider created a pair of jeans that are the most unusual thing I’ve seen in fashion lately—and there have been quite a few unusual trends in 2018 i.e dad shoes, thong jeans and more. And it seems like these half skinny-half flared pants are going to fit right into that list.
If you think about it, asym jeans highlight a strange truth, that we are all asymmetrical, both inside and out.
I wish all strange pants and their designers good luck. Be uniquely.
